On June 1st, Children's Day, the '2025 Beijing 798 International Children’s Art Week' officially kicked off at the 798·751 Art Zone. This year’s event, jointly organized by the Beijing Chaoyang National Cultural & Creative Experimental Zone Management Committee and Beijing 798 Culture Technology Co., Ltd., centers on the theme 'Waiting for the Flowers to Bloom.' Through a variety of artistic activities, it offers children a fantastical journey of self-discovery and world exploration. Running until June 8th, the event features art exhibitions, interactive experiences, intangible cultural heritage workshops, nature exploration programs, and more, providing children and parents with a comprehensive artistic immersion.

The grand opening of Children's Art Week kicks off a spectacular celebration of children's art.
At 3 PM on June 1st, the opening ceremony of the 2025 Beijing 798 International Children's Art Week was held at the 798 International Art Exchange Center. The event brought together artists, young participants, and parents from around the world to witness this creative extravaganza dedicated to children. This year's Art Week, themed "Waiting for the Flowers to Bloom," aims to enhance teenagers' self-awareness and creativity through artistic engagement.

The "Wisdom Painting the Vast Cosmos · Awaiting the Blossom" International Youth Art Exhibition showcases artistic creations from young people in over ten countries, highlighting the unique expressions of children and adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds as they explore themselves and the world.

Additionally, permanent exhibitions like the Rainforest Art Park and Chris Nature Art Museum use artistic approaches to guide children on an exploratory journey into nature.

This year's Children's Week offers a diverse range of activities that perfectly blend fun and education. At the 798 International Art Exchange Center, kids can participate in two major collaborative art projects—"Cosmic Cube" and "Migration"—and experience the joy of collective creation.

At UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, the special event "Mama Hero’s Mission" was launched, where actress and artist Tan Zhuo transformed into an AI-generated superhero, engaging in live dialogues with children to inspire fresh reflections on how societal perceptions and power structures subtly shape motherhood.
The 798 International Art Season featured outdoor music flash mobs, Dragon Boat Festival-themed zongzi and mugwort handicraft workshops, as well as the China Civil Trade Intangible Cultural Heritage Center's "Non-Audio Natural Concert" and 非遗 (intangible cultural heritage) crafts, bringing traditional culture into children’s lives in fun and innovative ways. Meanwhile, activities like the Rainforest Art Park's ecological games, Chris Nature Art Museum's science workshops, and ecological specimen-making sessions also provided families with heartwarming and memorable interactive experiences.
