Brief：Video Bureau is a not-for-profit organization focusing on video art. It is officially launched and open to the public from March 25, 2012. Our work primarily consists of archiving video artworks and its related documents in order to build a comprehensive and searchable database. By organizing Artist Talks and Publications to further the academic impact of our organization, Video Bureau is a foremost platform that provides services to researchers, curators, artists, collectors, students and others working in and out of the art world. Our continuous dedication to this specific artistic medium has become an important tool in the research on Video Art in China. Other than organizing archival materials, we have also invested in the digitization of archival materials and screening technologies in order to increase the security of the artworks as well as the quality of viewing. In the next few years, we plan on bringing our work to the next level by updating our technology, expanding on subjects of research and educational collaborations.
